Pricing FAQ

Quick answers to your most common pricing questions.

Plans & Upgrades

Can I cancel my subscription anytime?

Yes, absolutely. You can cancel your SearchVector subscription immediately with no cancellation fees, penalties, or long-term contracts. No credit card required to downgrade to the Free plan.

When you cancel, you lose access to paid features but retain all your project data. You can reactivate anytime.

How do upgrades and downgrades work?

Changes take effect immediately. We calculate prorated charges or credits based on the remaining days in your billing cycle.

Upgrading: If you upgrade mid-cycle, you'll pay the difference between your current plan and the new plan, prorated to remaining days.

Downgrading: If you downgrade mid-cycle, you'll receive a credit for the unused portion of your current plan, applied to your next billing cycle.

What payment methods do you accept?

SearchVector accepts:

  • Credit cards (Visa, Mastercard, American Express)
  • Debit cards
  • PayPal
  • Wire transfer (Custom plans only)

All payments are processed securely through Stripe, our PCI-compliant payment processor.

Can I get an invoice for my payment?

Yes. Invoices are automatically emailed and available in billing settings. Custom plans include formal proposals.

Trials & Free Options

Is there a free trial?

Your Free plan is your trial—and it never expires. It's a permanent free tier (5,000 credits/month, 1 project, 10 keywords, 1 team member) with no credit card required.

Most users test SearchVector thoroughly on the Free plan before upgrading.

What happens if I downgrade from Pro to Free?

Your data remains intact. You keep all your projects, keywords, and historical data. You just lose access to Pro features and gain the Free plan's resource limits.

When you downgrade, you'll be restricted to:

  • 1 project (others become view-only)
  • 10 keywords (others stop updating)
  • 5,000 credits/month

You can reupgrade anytime and regain full access immediately.

Credits & Usage

Do unused credits roll over to next month?

No. Credits are allocated monthly and reset on your billing anniversary. Unused credits don't carry over—they expire when you reset.

This keeps your billing simple and ensures you get fair value regardless of how busy your month is.

Can I buy additional credits mid-month?

Yes. You can purchase credit blocks anytime:

  • 10,000 credits: $5
  • 50,000 credits: $20
  • 100,000 credits: $35

Additional credits last until your next billing reset. They're useful if you have a particularly heavy month or want to run extra analysis before your reset.

How do I track credit usage?

Your dashboard shows real-time credit consumption with breakdown by feature. Set alerts at 50%, 75%, and 90% of allocation.

What happens if I exceed my credits?

You stop being able to perform new operations:

  • No new keyword research
  • No new audits
  • No new rank checks
  • No new API calls

You can view all existing data and reports until your credits reset. Most users optimize their workflow and rarely exceed their allocation after the first month.

Billing Cycles

When do my credits reset?

Your credits reset monthly on your billing anniversary—the same day each month you first logged in with Google to create your account.

For example, if you upgrade to Pro on March 15, your credits reset on the 15th of every month. If the date doesn't exist (February 30), the reset happens on the last day of the month.

How do prorated charges work?

When you upgrade or downgrade mid-cycle, we calculate your charge or credit based on the number of remaining days.

Example: If you upgrade from Free to Pro on the 15th of a 30-day month, you'll pay roughly half the Pro price ($14.50 instead of $29). On your next renewal, you'll pay the full $29/month.

Can I change my plan mid-cycle?

Yes. Changes take effect immediately with prorated billing adjustments.
