Credits power everything in SearchVector. Understanding how they work helps you maximize your plan and avoid surprises.
What Are Credits?
Credits are the currency that powers SearchVector operations. Each action—from keyword research to site audits—consumes a certain number of credits based on complexity and scale.
Think of credits as your monthly SEO operation budget. They reset on the same date each month and don't roll over.

Monthly Reset Schedule
Your credits reset on the same day each month that you first logged in with Google. For example:
- If you log in and create your account on March 15, your credits reset on the 15th of every month
- If that date doesn't exist (e.g., February 30), the reset happens on the last day of the month
You'll receive email notifications 7 days before your reset with usage statistics.
Monitoring Your Usage
Your SearchVector dashboard shows:
- Current Credits Remaining: Always visible in your account header
- Credit Usage Details: Breakdown of consumption by feature
- Spending Trend: How usage compares to previous months
- Projections: Estimated credits remaining by month-end
- Historical Usage: Access 12 months of consumption data

What Happens at Zero Credits
When you exhaust your monthly credits:

You'll be unable to perform new operations until your credits reset at the beginning of your billing cycle.
Enable credit limit alerts in your settings. We can notify you when you reach 50%, 75%, and 90% of your monthly allocation.
Purchasing Additional Credits
Out of credits before month's end? You can purchase additional credit blocks:
- 10,000 credits: $5
- 50,000 credits: $20
- 100,000 credits: $35
- Custom amounts: Contact support for volume pricing
Additional credits purchased mid-month last until your next reset—they don't carry over to subsequent months.
Most users find their plan's included credits sufficient after optimizing their workflows. Additional purchases typically reflect growing operations or aggressive experimentation.
Sharing Credits Across Team Members
With multiple team members, all members draw from the same monthly credit pool. There's no per-user allocation—your team shares one credit budget.
